What is Yoga

The yoga sutra was written 3500 years ago by “Patanjali”  which defined yoga.
“Chitta - vrtti – Nirodah” means the cessation of the turnings of mind. The name has been derived from a Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means to unite, to join and to connect oneself with the ultimate reality. Such union or connection of being one can only be achieved or experienced when the highest state of man – dual consciousness is reached. It is a process in which you find your limits, understand the individuals self and expand your horizons. It is a Fusion of a healthy Body With Disciplined mind for the purpose of spiritual development.

The Eight Limbs of Yoga   - Yama – The ultimate Process in which you Control Your    Action, Speech and your thought.
  • Ahinsa – The word it self means “Non Violence”.
  • Satya – Truth: being Honest to one self.
  • Asteya – refer to “Non Stealing“.
  • Bramcharya – Diverting energy towards Spiritual growth.
  • Aparigraha – Non - greedines.
Niyama – Rules to be discipline towards ourselves.
  • Saucha – Cleanliness of thoughts as well as surrounding.
  • Santosha – Contentment Being positive and excepting the condition in life (Satisfaction).
  • Tapas – Means “to Burn” enthusiastic about Yoga and life.
  • Swadhyaya – Means Studying your own self. To Discover yourself within.
  • Ishvarapranidhana – reminder of universal force around you and in you to believing in God.

Asanas – The Physical Postures. It unwinds you by it stressing your mind & Body. It    helps you  to Focus your mind and to experience the ultimate joy and peace    through  meditation.

Pranayama: Controlling the breathing process.

Prathyahara: Controling your sense & mind & diverting towards innerself.

Dharana: Concentration of mind towards the objective of life and not getting    distracted.

Dhyana: Meditation where you withdrawer your self materialistic world to enter    into supreme world.

Samadhi: It like going in trance. Total control our mind and Body.
